The purpose of this site is to provide access to a tool to memorize the Quran.
Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you were trying to memorize the Quran by listening to a receiter but found it basically impossible to find a specific ayah or set of ayahs in a CD that is 1hr long?
For example: You are memorizing ayahs 145-160 in surah Al-Baqarah. You have the whole surah in mp3 format. How will you find ayahs 145-160? Even if you find it once, how will you able to keep your digital device (mp3 player) repeating those ayahs for you to memorize them?
What the eHafiz team did was to divide each ayah of each surah of the Quran into its own track and ID3 tagged it. For example, in the case of surah Al-Baqarah, it was split into 286 tracks. So if you need to listen to ayahs 145-160 you just go to track 145-160.

The first Shaykh whose recitation was divided/split is Shaykh Muhammad Ayyub. Many find his enunciation and pronunciation of tajweed rules quite clear for an untrained ear. All the surahs are ID3 tagged for easy organization in your mp3 player of choice.
» What about other reciters?Insha'Allah in the future we plan to do other reciters as well. Over the years other brother/sisters have also started splitting ayahs of different reciters into tracks. We may try to collaborate with them and have one central location for different reciters. If anyone has any requests for other reciters, you can drop us a comment at [comments] or [email] us at . Please include the surah, reciter and location where we can download a high quality mp3 of the surah. We can't guarantee when we will get to them, but Insha'Allah we will keep the request on my "to-do-list".
